Don’t Forget: Kick-off Worship Night begins at 6:30 pm.
Begin: Gather your family, put away technology/devices, and grab your Bibles and some basic craft supplies.
Read it:
Revelation 21:3-5 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Do it:
Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Reread Revelation 21:3-5, pick your favorite part, and have each family member create a piece of artwork that reflects it. Use poster board, paper, cardboard, beaded bracelets, or whatever you have available. Place it somewhere that you will see it every day this week.
Pray it:
Father, we thank you for placing each of us in this family. We desire to grow in our relationship with you and with each other over the next six days. Holy Spirit, we invite you to come and dwell in this house. Invade this home. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Parents Only:
Take some time to pray and ask the Holy Spirit for a word or a specific verse for each of your children concerning their upcoming school year. Listen and prepare to share it with them during the Day Five action step on Thursday.
Example of word/verse:
Word: Pray. Verse: Luke 18:1-8
Exhortation: I sense the Holy Spirit is saying, you are persistent! Use your persistence to bring more of heaven down to earth! Always pray. Boldly come into his throne room because Jesus made a way for you. Remind yourself of God’s promises. And never give up. He wants you to know he hears your prayers. Keep on asking!
