Genesis 2:9
The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:15
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
Revelation 22:1
And he showed me, a pure river, a water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.' 3 there shall be no more curse. But the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.

As the tree in Eden brought a fall, the cross becomes the tree of redemption, lifting us up from the consequences of our disobedience.
Oswald Chambers
Just as Eden was lost through one tree, redemption is found through another—the cross, where Christ’s sacrifice undoes the effects of the forbidden fruit.
The tree of the cross, once an instrument of suffering, now blossoms with the flowers of forgiveness and resurrection.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer

The beauty of the genealogy of Jesus lies in the fact that God can turn our most shameful chapters into a story of redemption and purpose.
Beth Moore

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Because Jesus faced the cross with joy, so can I.

In this world, you will have trouble But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Overcome - a victory rooted in the past that continuously effects the present and the future.
Because Jesus rose after the cross, so will I.
