On June 19, 2003, the day before Josh married his wife Sarah, God confirmed in him the call to pastor a church that had been stirring in his heart since he was just a teenager. From that day forward, Josh felt he would be a part of something big for the Kingdom of God.
In August of 2014, after sixteen years in full-time ministry and training, most recently as a pastor at Gateway Church in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Josh and Sarah felt God calling them back to their home state of Oklahoma to pursue their God-given dream of planting a life-giving church.
Sarah has been involved in behind-the-scenes ministry for the last 10 years. She has worked in accounting departments, volunteered in children’s ministry teaching preschoolers, and serves as a ministry coordinator.
When Sarah was in the fifth grade God gave her the desire to be a stay-at-home mom. She is now living out that dream and fulfilling God’s highest call on her life, raising her three children Gus (7), Beau (4), and Sunny (1).
Sarah is also committed to helping people become more aware of God’s everyday goodness. After giving birth to her son Felix, stillborn, in 2012, Sarah started her blog, 10K Reasons. She has helped many women who have lost babies find comfort in choosing gratitude over grief. She loves partnering with the Lord to bring healing to the brokenhearted.
She enjoys doing ministry with her husband of 12 years and pastoring at New Song Church.
For over fifteen years Joshua Blount has served in the local church. He has ministered to couples, families, teenagers, kids and ministry leaders.
Before becoming a pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, TX, he served as an award-winning graphic designer and a youth pastor at Church on the Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has also served as a designer and creative consultant to churches like Lakewood Church in Houston and World Changers Church in Atlanta.
Josh is also an accomplished children’s ministry consultant and songwriter. His kid’s praise and worship music is used by thousands of churches across America and the world.
Josh is passionate about building the kingdom of God, reaching the next generation, and building a Godly dynasty in his home. He has been married to his wife Sarah for over 12 years and he loves spending time with her and their three children.
